Find a frame before raising the camera

Choose one block and watch how people pass through it. A doorway, tree shadow or awning can frame a scene without staging it. Set exposure for bright pavement or sky, then wait for one clear subject rather than making dozens of similar images.

Build a short walking sequence

Plan three stops with different visual rhythms: an open street, a sheltered edge and a quieter detail. Walk between them without shooting continuously. The gaps help you decide what the story is and keep pedestrian space clear.

Edit a set that belongs together

Select six images with a common colour or gesture. Remove repetitions even when they are technically sharp. A wide view, a human-scale view and a small detail usually explain the walk better than six skylines.
